RESTAURANTS

Whatever you're craving there is something in or around Ely. Grab your morning coffee to-go at the Log Cabin Coffee drive-thru or take a seat at Northern Grounds.  For lunch give Insula's American-fusion fare a try or go with a classic grilled-cheese at Gatorz Emporium.  For breakfast, lunch, or dinner be sure to check out Ely's newest dining spot, The Frisky Otter!  There are so many great options, you don't want to miss out!
My wife stayed at Deer Ridge from Wednesday-Sunday in July and it was an amazing experience. The cabins are delightful and the grounds are great. Excellent time. And great place to go to get away and get disconnected.

My family (parents, wife, three siblings) and I spent a weekend in one of the large cabins at Deer Ridge. We were not there to fish, which probably puts us in the minority among visitors to Ely. We did enjoy: --the Kawishiwi Falls hike (that park is just across the street from Deer Ridge) --the charcoal grill --campfires (each pair of cabins shares one fire pit; there is firewood available for purchase) --kayaking and paddleboards on the beautiful lake This last was the highlight of the weekend for me. The rentals are included in the cabin rental price; just go down to the lake, grab a life vest, and choose a kayak, canoe, or paddle board

What a great resort, location and hospitality!!! If you are ever thinking of planning a trip to Ely, you will not be disappointed with Deer Ridge Resort, or stop in to check it out if you are just in the area and looking for a place to stay in the future. The cabins are amazing, just the type you want to stay in if you are up north. One week stay and you will be shedding a tear when you leave to go back home.
